But what I find particularly rewarding is having the opportunity to collaborate with some of Australia's most well-loved brands. I work closely with them to gain a deep understanding of their story, brand message, and marketplace, and then help communicate that message effectively. The variety of businesses and brands I get to work with keeps me motivated and constantly inspired.

What do you love most about your business?

That every day is unique and unpredictable, no two days are the same! But what I find particularly rewarding is having the opportunity to collaborate with some of Australia's most well-loved brands. I work closely with them to gain a deep understanding of their story, brand message, and marketplace, and then help communicate that message effectively. The variety of businesses and brands I get to work with keeps me motivated and constantly inspired.


What is something you wished you knew starting out?

That I’m not alone and not the only business owner experiencing a certain issue. In the early years, I often felt isolated and as if I were the only one grappling with various challenges in my business. Looking back, I realise the value of being part of a business community and the support it can provide. I wish I had known this earlier, as it would have alleviated some of the loneliness and isolation I experienced as a new business owner.
 

What have you found to be the biggest hurdle to female leadership?

As a female leader, one of the greatest challenges I've faced is the constant juggling act of balancing my responsibilities as a parent, a business owner, and a leader. It can be difficult to give each role the attention it deserves and maintain a sense of balance. Sometimes, it can feel as though I'm being pulled in every direction, which can be overwhelming. However, with perseverance and a supportive network, it's possible to navigate these challenges and achieve success both personally and professionally.
 

What do you think are the top 3 habits to successful leadership?

In my opinion, the top three habits for successful leadership are discipline, determination, and passion. Discipline - involves being organised, having clear goals and plans in place and consistently reviewing and working towards achieving them. Secondly, determination - the ability to push through even on the toughest of days, and to remain focused on the end goal. And lastly, Passion, because if you love what you do then the rest will follow.
 

What is the best advice you have received in business that has supported your success?

The best advice I have received in business came in the form of a quote from Theodore Roosevelt “It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; but who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause, who at the best knows in the end triumph of high achievement, and who at worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat” To me, this quote represents the idea that true success and achievement come from being willing to put yourself out there, take risks, and strive valiantly, regardless of the possibility of failure or criticism. This message was also amplified in Brené Browns book "Daring Greatly" which I adored. It’s a quote I go back to time and time again.
 

What advice you would give to the next generation of female leaders?

My advice for the next generation of female leaders is to find a community, a group or network of fellow likeminded individuals in business and work hard to maintain it. It can be a lonely path and having a group of people that are either business owners, leaders or women in business that you can share experiences, challenges, wins and learn from is invaluable.
